Hi! My name is Mollie Savit and I am the founder of MS Health. I am a certified Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN). Here is a fun fact about me: I am also a licensed cosmetologist In New York City. I currently reside in New York City, with my wonderful boyfriend, Derek.
My lifelong desire to make people feel good about themselves stems from when I was in third grade. At that time, I was having a really hard time in school, and was acting out because of that. I was then put on some terrible medications that made me gain 40 pounds and led to many years of emotional eating. For years, I was extremely embarrassed about the weight that I gained yet did little to shed these pounds.
During my high school years, I was diagnosed as a pre-diabetic. As if a light bulb went off in my head, I knew I had to act so I could improve my overall health. I started exercising frequently and began making modifications to my diet. I worked with many nutritionists, joined Jenny Craig and Weight Watchers and completed the Whole 30 Program throughout the next several years. Although I had some success with these “diet programs,” having lost 20 pounds during this period, I also realized that these commercial programs were not sustainable.
Being overweight for most of my life diminished my self-esteem. It was hard to shop for clothes, intimidating to date and challenging to work in the cosmetology industry in NYC. I “knew” what to do, what to eat and how much I should workout, but I just was not in the place to stick with it. For whatever reason, I was not ready to invest in myself and become the healthy, confident person I wanted to be.
Lo and behold, Covid arrived in March of 2020, but I was determined not to let that horrible Pandemic get me down. In fact, 2020 proved to be the most positive, life affirming year of my life. At the age of 26 years old, I created my first WHY statement to define myself and guide me during the months ahead. My WHY was to develop my confidence so I could feel like a better, healthier more beautiful version of myself. And you know what- I did exactly that.
Specifically, I took my first “before” photo on March 19, 2020. I then joined the Beach Body Platform, and started working out with a group of motivated women online focusing on exercise and nutrition. I lost another 20 lbs that year and have kept it off successfully and healthily.
I learned how to lose weight holistically while learning to love myself in the process. I have worked extremely hard these last several years and I am so very proud. My emotional health has also improved dramatically over the last few years as well because I feel so very good about myself. Because I devoted the last few years to improving my overall health and wellness, I was able to gain my confidence back, switch careers and find the “man of my dreams.” I learned how to feel good about myself and nourish my body appropriately without dieting.
I have spent the last 2.5 years working as a health coach for companies in New York City. I am so excited to take my next step in my career and begin MS Health. I am passionate about guiding individuals on their holistic health and wellness journeys.
